Responsibility of implementation and administration of timber sale activities in order to achieve the annual allowable cut of 43.1 million board feet of timber. Using aerial photographs, GIS maps, field reconnaissance, professional judgment and experience, makes recommendations involving the treatment needs of timber stands. Develops silvicultural prescriptions, marking guidelines, cruise instructions and Forest Officer’s Reports. Locates treatment units on the ground, marks the boundaries determines acreage using a global positioning unit or GIS database. Collect, compiles and reports data to the Project Interdisciplinary Team in regard to proposed timber sales projects. Serves as the Officer-In-Charge, administering timber sales for contract compliance. Performs field reconnaissance of timber stands.
